Dalmatik

The dalmatic is a liturgical vestment consisting of a long tunic reaching to knee height and provided with wide sleeves. Itis the proper dress of deacons, who wear it in the Celebrations liturgical celebrationsof the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church and the Vetero-Catholic Church.Just as the chasuble for priests, it is the outermost robe. In the Ambrosian rite the stole is instead worn over the dalmatic. Itcan be of different liturgical colors, depending on the period in which it is worn.
