An Engolpion or enkolpion is a devotional medallion pendant to carry as the pectoral cross. It is worn as a robe by Orthodox and Eastern Catholic bishops. All bishops wear a particular type of engolpion called Panagia, which depicts Theotokos. All bishops under primary rank have the dignity of a second engolpion, which usually depicts Jesus.

The enameled image normally bears the image of the Holy Virgin Mary who holds Christ in her arms. On particular requests we can have enamelled only with the image of Christ.

The enamelled image is set on a golden background decorated with semi-precious stones, in a very detailed model to bring a beautiful and artistic result following the Orthodox tradition.

This kind of realization, it is supposed, has been invented to bisanzio many centuries ago.
